Promoting Clean Energy in the country and Worldwide

Currently works at the Energy Development Corporation (EDC) where she  heads the Regulatory Affairs Support Department (RASD), the group which provides policy advocacy, government relations and regulatory support to the renewable energy projects of EDC. EDC is the only Philippine company with a 100% RE portfolio, operating geothermal, wind, hydro and solar power plants.

At present, Tin is a member of NGAP’s Public Policy Committee, actively helping out in efforts to enhance appreciation by key policy-makers of the technical and operational complexities of the geothermal industry.

Tin was part of the multi-sectoral group that worked with Congress for the passage of the Renewable Energy Act of 2008. Along with the members of the Public Policy Committee, she continues to assist NGAP by participating in meetings and focus group discussions, conducted by DOE and the National Renewable Energy Board (NREB), among others,  relating to the implementation of the RE Act.

Prior to joining EDC, Tin worked both at the Senate and the House of Representatives as a legislative staff and was also Head Executive Assistant of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources during the time of Secretary Heherson T. Alvarez.

A cum laude graduate of BS in Fisheries from the University of the Philippines in the Visayas,

Tin obtained her Master in Public Administration, Major in Public Policy and Program Administration, from UP Diliman.  She recently completed the Management Development Program at the Asian Institute of Management.
