I am an experienced and competent professional with an accumulated experience of over 30 years on environmental management and protection. My fields of specialization include environmental assessment and audit, integrated environmental planning and monitoring, hazardous waste management, and pollution control and prevention.
My other experiences include evaluation of regulatory requirements on the energy sector; formulation of company environmental policies, guidelines, and procedures; conduct of internal Environmental Management System (EMS) Audits and waste management audits for regulatory compliance; and coordination and networking with external institutions.
I completed both my undergraduate (BS Geology, 1983) and Diploma (Environmental Science, 1997) at the University of the Philippines, Diliman. I also completed my Certificate Program on Toxic and Hazardous Waste Management at the National Engineering Center (NEC) of UP Diliman in 2012.
I am currently the Head of the Environmental Management Department (EMD) of the Energy Development Corporation (EDC), a position I have held since October 2010.
I am one of the Board of Trustees (BOT) for the Safety Health and Environment Association of the Philippine Energy Sector, Inc. (SHAPES).
